There are very few things better than a seasonal baked good. We happen to be in the season that provides us with the BEST baked goods; so as a little treat to you, we've compiled the best of the best. We're now your hot spot for pumpkin spice recipes. You're welcome.

Most of these recipes are coming straight from my personal favorite- Half Baked Harvest; and they're proven to be tried and true. Stay tuned for the last two recipes though, as they are my very own personal creations and basically top notch secrets. They're being shared here, so that really says something.

This may as well just be an ode to Half Baked Harvest, honestly. So we are here to give her the shoutout she deserves, (even though I'm sure everyone is already obsessed with her), @halfbakedharvest on insta and halfbakedharvest.com . Her feed on insta is honestly mind blowing, and it makes you want to become a true baker and chef. You even feel like one just after looking over her recipes.  

One that I'm here to talk about though is her baked apple cider doughnuts. MY OH MY. I'll link the recipe here so you can get all your info straight from the pro. My mouth is watering just looking at them.

The photo she has goes without saying, I feel like you can basically taste and smell it through the screen. Her photo quality hits different, really. If you're wanting to eat the most amazing pumpkin themed bread that makes you feel like you're living inside hocus pocus, then this is your guy.

She incoroprated lots of secret tips and tricks to get the best pumpkin flavor possible, so this bread really is a must. It's also not as difficult as one might think, it's honestly pretty quick too. 10/10 would recommend making this bread. Not a joke.

You'll probably notice a huge shift here in the beauty of the photos, as well as the quality. But that's not what matters here. What matters is the quality and beauty of the BREAD. And believe me, this loaf has it all.

I'm a huge bread connoisseur. It's my favorite food group, and it isn't even a food group. With that being said I've tried ALL the recipes. None of them were good enough for me, so instead I made my own. This perfect recipe has been my own little secret for YEARS, but I think now it's time to share. The fall season has me feeling generous, so I hope you take advantage of that and prepare yourself this amazing loaf.

Here's what you're gonna need for the dough
 
3 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 heaping tbsp yeast
1 tbsp minced garlic (i add extra because i'm a garlic fiend)
1 tbsp oregano
1tsp thyme
1 tsp basil
1 tbsp rosemary
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 cup shredded/grated parmesan cheese
1 1/2 tbsp olive oil
1 1/2 cup warm milk
 
Here's what you need on top of the dough
 
1 tbsp olive oil
shredded cheese(s) of your choice (i use cheddar, mozzarella, parmesan; honestly anything. good to mix them too)
sprinkles of all the spices mentioned above, it makes it pretty

Instructions

This is SUPER simple, I promise. To make it easy, start off by mixing all your dry ingredients for the dough first. Get them all combined and nice, THEN bring in your warm milk and olive oil. Simple as that; no special tricks for the yeast or anything, it basically does the work for you. Then you're gonna want to knead that bad boy until the dough is smooth and elastic. It should only take a few minutes, (I just use my kitchen aid with the kneading attachment). When it's all kneaded, cover it with plastic wrap and let it hang out in a warm place for about 45 minutes. Then transfer it into it's baking pan and let it sit for another 45. Once it's all risen, top it with the last tablespoon of olive oil, add your cheese and extra spice; then it's time to bake! Bake it at 450 for 15 minutes until it is looking nice and golden with crispy bubbly cheese on top. This bread slaps.

 

 

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

Technically this is my mom's recipe, but I'm always the one who makes them so I'll claim it as my own. She perfect this recipe into the most ideal fall dessert, so credit does technically go to her. Keep reading if you want to eat the best pumpkin chocolate chip cookie of your life.

 

What you'll need

1 cup butter

1 cup packed brown sugar

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla

1 cup canned pumpkin

2 cups all purpose flour

1 tsp paking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp nutmeg

1/4 tsp cloves

1/4 tsp ginger

chocolate chips (I add a whole bunch but you can add however much you'd like obviously)

Instructions

Cream butter and sugar together well. Beat in the egg, add vanilla then pumpkin. Stir remaining ingredients together and add. Mix well, then drop by table-spoonfuls onto a greased pan! Bake in 375 oven for about 10-12 minutes (depending on the size, so just take sneak peeks at them to check). I hope you love these as much as I do.
